Today I clicked on a link in an email I received and became a Live Face On Web customer. Let me share my inbox with you so you can see what they’ve sent me in the past few months and then I’ll tell you why this works.
Here’s what they did well.
1. They never forgot me or gave up on me. You can see that they sent 2 or 3 messages per month. Many of my clients feel like they don’t want to ‘bother’ a prospect. A better way to look at it, is people want you to do the work to keep in touch.
2. They know how to write subject lines. The subject line plays a big role in determining if your email will get opened. People really read these things . . . and what you send matters! These subject lines use a lot of benefit statements which get my attention. And they are unafraid to mix it up.
3. They made good offers. You can’t quite see from the email subject line but in the body copy they made offer after offer to get me to sign up. This offer is targeted to first time customers.
Finally, I was ready to try their product. You’ll notice that the email arrived today and cha-ching I signed up before the deadline.
