Borders books has a customer loyalty program called the Borders Rewards program. I thought you might be interested in the powerful email autoresponder series that is sent out once you join the program.
Here are the emails in the autoresponder series that you see when you join.
Check out the subject line and the date sent.
In this autoresponder series you’ll see the first message came on 10/24/09 when I joined the program. Then the autoresponder sends an automatic follow up on 11/2/09 where they offer a coupon.
Then right after that, on the 4th and 5th there is a reminder message about the coupon.
What I like next is after the coupon reminders is a survey offer. The “30% Coupon for a Few minutes of Your Time.”
This whole series is a good example of email autoresponders at work. The variety of the messages is great. The timing and frequency of the messages are such that they have a good chance of getting noticed.
If you aren’t using email autoresponders to get noticed for your club, or rewards program, or customer loyalty program, you’re missing a great chance to get your brand noticed.
