This is good stuff. American Apparel runs a Twitter promo to trade a special no strings offer for your email address.
Then, when you link to the page to see the offer see the information they are asking for. I see all kinds of examples of great segments.
They can send out promotions based on Country or Gender. They can do a geographic message based on how far you are from a store based on your zip code.
And you can be sure they’ll send you a birthday greeting. Everyone likes to hear Happy Birthday, even from a company they buy clothes from occasionally.
