I am always on the lookout for an email promotion that is well conceived and executed and I think that TaylorMade Golf has one.

Here’s the offer.

Here’s what makes this a great email promotion.

1.  A strong offer.  The offer here is to enter to win a TaylorMade Burner 6 iron.   They also specify that 20,000 golfers will win.  As a golfer those seem like pretty good odds to me, so I’m interested.

2.  An explanation.   These talented copywriters don’t assume that the reader knows what Project Burner is all about.  They take a few seconds to explain at the bottom of the offer.

3.  Proper graphics.  The graphic in an email promotion has to match the offer.  This is as good as it gets.  The image is the prize-a TaylorMade 6-iron.  Mouth watering!

Only one small thing to comment on.

1.  The number of required fields.   Every field on this form is required.  Normally, the more required fields you ask for the more of an impact you’ll have on your conversion rate.

However, in this case I think the offer is strong enough and compelling enough to overcome that challenge.

One thing for sure, this email promotion just added 20,000 new postal and email addresses to their list of people who might be in the market for new clubs!
