Here’s a test you can do to see if your email marketing is being done better than your competitors.
1. Go to your website and see how quickly you can find a place to sign up for a newsletter, free report, white paper, special offers, whatever. The point is if you can find it quickly so should your web visitors.
2. Now go to your competitor’s website and do the same thing. How easy is it to sign up on their list? Was it complicated? Did they offer a great incentive to get you to sign up?
Maximizing signups on your website is an excellent long term strategy because the bigger your list, the more impact it can have on your business.
